Philip.
S. Burns BDS
Philip
qualified from Sheffield University in 1969 and after a short
period of hospital work joined the practice in 1970. He became
principal dentist in 1978.
Philip
is married to Linda and has three grown up children.
He
is particularly interested in cosmetic dentistry and advanced
restorative work.

Helen
R Whitby BDS
Helen
qualified from the University of Sheffield in 1997.
Since
then she has worked in General Dental Practice in Doncaster
and Sheffield.
Helen
has experience in all aspects of General Dentistry with interests
in Root Canal Treatment and Cosmetic work.

Keen
to keep up to date and develop the latest technique, Helen
attends seminars and Post-graduate courses both locally and
nationally.
As
part of a highly trained team, she strives to provide high
quality treatment in a relaxed and caring environment. |

Howard.
J. Hoyes BDS
Howard
qualified in 1983 from the University of Leeds.
Having
left Leeds Howard came straight into General Dental Practice
in Sheffield, initially at our former practice in Cambridge
Street moving to our present modern location in Charles Street
in 1987.

With
nearly 20 years of experience in General Practice Howard has
worked with most aspects of dentistry but has developed a
special interest in restorative dentistry.
Howard
is also the lead dentist for clinical governance within the
practice and attends many postgraduate courses and seminars
to keep up to date with the enter changing face of dentistry.

Duncan J Park BDS (hons) MFDS RCS (Eng)
Duncan qualified from Sheffield University in 2003 with honours. He has subsequently worked in oral and maxillofacial departments in Barnsley, Sheffield and Chesterfield Hospitals, which included a period working as a staff grade. During this time he developed his interest and skills in surgical dentistry and implantology.

He completed the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons and was originally trained in implants at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital. He is now currently studying a Masters Degree in Implantology at Sheffield University to further develop his implant skills.
He is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology and attends conferences and seminars on a regular basis to further his knowledge.
Duncan currently lives in Sheffield with his partner Lucy and their 3 daughters. He played rugby for Sheffield Rugby Club for 4 years until an injury in 2008, and is now a keen supporter from the side line.
Duncan works at the practice on a part-time basis and provides all aspects of surgical and implant dentistry. His aim is to be able to spend time with patients offering them comfortable treatment within a relaxed environment. |
Bill Seddon BDS
Bill qualified from Sheffield University in 1990 and has worked in Sheffield ,Rotherham and Chesterfield. He is married to Jaana and has three children
Over the years Bill has developed a special interest in root canal work and five years ago limited his practice to this aspect of dentistry. |

He is pleased to be actively involved in Post Graduate education, both as a provider and a delegate. He has attended numerous endodontic meetings in the USA and Europe and has received training at the Pacific Endodontic Research Foundation in San Diego. He has completed numerous ‘hands on’ courses both at home and abroad over the last 15 years.
Since 1995 Bill has spoken to many groups of dentists on endodontics, including VT groups in Nottingham and Leicester, MGDP group in Leeds and has run many ‘hands on’ courses in the area. These range from rubber dam, to more complex endodontics for dentist and nurse. Bill and his wife Jaana, have recently completed the endodontic chapter in the Teamwork 7 training companion for Dental Nurses, produced by the Faculty of General Dental Practice of the Royal College of Surgeons. He has recently spoken at the Indian Association Conference in Nagpur, on behalf of GDP UK in Birmingham, and is currently teaching part time at The Eastman CPD centre.
His mission is to provide an excellent clinical endodontic service to all his patients in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere

David Murphy BDS M MED SCI (REST)
David Murphy qualified as a dental surgeon in 1996. He subsequently underwent formal training in Implantology at the University of Sheffield, and over the past 14 years has successfully replaced thousands of missing teeth using dental implants. He has also been awarded a Masters Degree in Restorative Dentistry which he accomplished at Distinction level. David has a great depth of dental exposure and now concentrates on providing advanced restorative and aesthetic dentistry, utilising dental implant treatments where appropriate. |
He is passionate about both restoring function and rejuvenating smiles, providing treatments that are both successful and predictable. He takes continuing professional development seriously, travelling extensively to attend both national and international conferences to learn from the world’s most accomplished dental speakers. David also enjoys sharing his knowledge and is active in providing postgraduate education for the dental team.
