State of the Art Central Sterilising Unit

As well as providing our patients with the highest standard of dental care we also pride ourselves on providing a safe environment for both our patients & staff. To this end we use disposable items where ever possible & have a dedicated Central Sterilising Unit (CSU). Having the CSU allows us to process all non-disposable instruments away from the clinical treatment areas.

The CSU is equipped with the latest, most effective items of equipment to ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned, disinfected and sterilised before storage & re-use.

This equipment includes ultrasonic baths to effectively clean & disinfect instruments prior to sterilisation, this method being safer for staff than manual cleaning.

A DAC autoclave to clean, lubricate and sterilise dental handpieces both internally and externally.

A Sterilox machine to produce solution to disinfect the surgery waterlines, to which dental handpieces are attached.

A vacuum autoclave to sterilise the cleaned, disinfected & wrapped instruments – being able to sterilise in this manner allows the instruments to remain sterile whilst being stored before reuse.
