Restoring collagen safely and naturally
Collagen is the key to healthy, beautiful skin. Our bodies generate collagen naturally but this process declines with age. Rejuvapen is a medical grade micro-needling treatment that works by stimulating the skin’s self-repair mechanism to produce collagen, restoring a healthy, youthful appearance at a fraction of the cost of laser treatment and with minimal downtime.
Rejuvapen treatment is carried out by highly trained Dr Lynda Allman using sterile single-use tools. Local anaesthetic cream is used making it a virtually pain-free procedure.
A Rejuvapen face treatment takes around 45 minutes. For best results, it is recommended to have a course of 4 treatments at 6 week intervals.
Who is a candidate?
Rejuvapen is a treatment that can be used on all skin types. It can be used safely to improve the appearance of:
- fine lines and wrinkles
- sun damage
- acne and chicken pox scars
- stretch marks
- areas of hyper-pigmentation
- enlarged pores.
What is the downtime?
Typically the healing time depends on the severity of the damaged skin and the depth of the procedure. Most commonly there may be some redness that resembles mild sunburn which may last 2-4 days. Some patients may have the redness dissipate within 24 hours.
When will patients see results?
Many patients notice healthier looking skin right away. However, keep in mind that dermal collagen remodelling takes place over time and it would not be realistic to expect damage that has taken place over a long period of time to disappear immediately. With a course of 4 treatments, individuals typically see final results 3-6 months after the final appointment.
